Wanna hear a funny story?

As my friend Colleen recently mentioned in her blog, her life isn't very interesting....

neither is mine.

I don't have any kids (without fur) and my weekends aren't consumed with anything exciting (especially in the summer) so I don't have anything interesting to write about....

But unlike Colleen, I don't have any funny stories to share at the moment....

she does.

Enjoy

A day in the life....

.... of our spoiled rotten dogs:

On their way to daycare

....They play all day at Petsmart's Doggie Daycamp.....

On the ride home (a little sleepy)

Saying "hi" to the neighbors

                                          They'll play a little more
And beg for treats

             And give hugs

   And then they FINALLY REST.....
 And rest some more......

Then we start all over the next morning!

Brooklyn and Bentley love their daycare in Arizona, but miss their buddies at Fort Fido back in UP. Grant, the owner of Fort Fido, posted a little blog about these guys the other day....

We know they're spoiled rotten (and I'm the pushover), but we don't know what we'd do without them!

Amazing weekend!

This past weekend was exactly what I needed... a combination of shopping, relaxation and good company...

Friday I spent the entire day, minus an appointment for a Brazilian Blowout, at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale.... This by far, is my favorite sale of the year and I can spend (and usually do) hours (and money) at this ridiculous sale. I didn't go as crazy as I normally do, but still walked away with some fun stuff! I was shocked at how different the sale is here, compared to Seattle. When we worked at Nordstrom in college, the sale was a HUGE event.... we would prepare for months, open the store at 7am, all the employees would clap for the customers who showed up bright and early for the first day of the sale, and the stores were PACKED!!

Scottsdale was a little different. I thought EVERY Nordstrom opened at 7 on the first day of the sale... but I was wrong. 9am. After my morning nap in the car, I walked into the store to find it EMPTY! Even by 11am it wasn't even CLOSE to crowded. Oh well, I found all of my sizes and didn't have to wait on finding a shoe salesman (or taking a number, for that matter). It did take some of the fun and excitement away though... I prefer fighting over jeans and seeing what everyone else is buying (grabbing).

And look, I did good!

Saturday, we went back to the sale (because that's just what we do, don't judge), and then went to a meditation workshop by Sarah McLean in Scottsdale through the Bikram Yoga studio that I go to... My friend Alicia went with me, and it was a-mazing. Such an awesome experience and I'm so glad we went! We went out to dinner with Alicia and her boyfriend Luke afterwards (Oreganos-- YUM!) and then Stefan and I decided to stay at the W in Scottsdale because the workshop continued on Sunday morning and staycations across town are just fun.

The W was fabulous!! Such a modern feel, and the pool was so fun! Sunday, we had breakfast, I went to the second day of the workshop, and then we ventured back home, where we spent the rest of the afternoon watching movies (because it's so dang hot outside).

All in all, a wonderful weekend, even if it was 115 degrees.....

Friday Funday

This is apparently what happens when I have a day off with no appointments, no errands to run, and no husband around to tell me I'm wasting my day....

And this is the conversation I have with my husband when he walks in the door and I'm taking pictures like this on the computer:

Me: Hi! Come look what I did!!!
Me: Look!! Isn't this fun?!
Stefan: (not impressed) Is this really how you spent your day, Julie?
Julie: No, just the last 20 minutes.
Stefan: Yah right. You need to figure out another way to spend your Fridays.

I can't believe he didn't even show the slightest smile... I'm still cracking myself up.
